"My picks are based on the TOP2019 lists which have been compiled by CVLT Nation. There were several new and great bands for me and I will highlight some of them with these picks:
Ritual Howls - Alone Together: This is the kind of post-punk that is my cup of tea. The singer has a soothing baritone like tone that seals the deal for me.
Devil Master - Black Flame Candle: Crossover is a genre that I don't follow very intensively, however Devil Master proves that there are worthy bands that proves that maybe I should pay more attention to it.
Primitive Man - Oily Tears: The band is true to its name: primitive, evil and heavy. I have had the pleasure to witness them playing live in Lahti a couple of years back and to exchange a few words with them as they autographed my CD. Really down to earth and cool guys.
Coffins - Terminate by own prophecy: Another band I witnessed live only last year at Killtown Fest in Denmark. They are brutal both in studio and live, so there is no reason why they shouldn't get the limelight they deserve. Beyond The Circular Demise does really change Death Doom, but is one of the finest offerings in the genre 2019.
Undeath - Enhancing the dead: unThis is one of the finest demos you'll hear from 2019. Undeath plays nasty, twisted and rotten death metal that crawls under your skin and stays there like a plague. Be sure to check the entire four song demo if you liked this treat.
Bölzer - Into the temple of spears: Swiss has something else to offer besides chocolate, mountains and watches: Celtic Frost, Triptykon and Bölzer! I had the pleasure to witness them live for the 3rd time I believe last year at Blow Up fest and they killed again. The new EP was a bit of a letdown for me at first, but with repeated listens it is starting to grow on me.
Lord Mantis - God's Animal: Sludge is another genre that is hard to define and to digest in big portions, but in small amounts it is giving me some awesome tunes. Lord Mantis has shocked with its pervert, sick and disgusting album covers in the past, but there is something in the music that makes you want to return to the band.
Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard - The Spaceships of Ezekiel: Take a wild guess which genre they represent? Yup, this is some of the finest stoner doom released last year. I believe you can enjoy this easily without any mind expanding substances as the band can play some sweet swingy and tasty riffs."

22-Pistepirkko – Quicksand: Nämä pojat ne osaa. Ei tule juuri kuunneltua, mutta harvoin tulee käännettyä poiskaan.
White Ward – Love Exchange Failure: Jazz-bläkkistä. Kovaa menoa Ukrainan pojilta.
Kampfar – Det Sorte: Onhan tässä tietynlainen skandinaavinen voima takana.
Stratovarius – Dreamspace: Straton alkuaikojen progempaa tuotantoa.
