On the way to repeating itself Soilwork could still made just great Stabbing the Drama. Suffice it to say that the band made a surprisingly strong comeback in 2015, The Majestic Ride.
The album contains a slightly rawer and blasting compositions. The work is excellent from the covers to the end, but especially in the tail end of the album will start to kick in the head, when the first half has been just ordinary body blows.
Producer Daniel Bergstrand has been got the band sounds professional, but still original. It's not as mass-flavored, but rather Kiss Kiss-candy in Fazerin Parhaat-bag.

The album has some of the most brutal attacks. such as Stalemate and Blind Eye Halo tunes as a measure of the plate would have been enough even if it is 29 minutes and three seconds. Although the musical genre itself is so far removed from today's mainstream music including metal mainstream, the album will be easy listen to through the hassle.
Good roast with nice melodies but strongly going forward. As Per Gessle sayd: "After the 70th century there have been no Swedish band, which would not be covered by the melody heritage of ABBA." Yes, you could hear it in Soilwork too. A good example is the Distance and variations of the chorus at the end of the song.
This is such a powerful spin. When you need to get things going, then it sounds perfect. For example, preparing for a sport performance.

Matkalla itsensä toistamiseen Soilwork pystyi raapimaan vielä aivan mahtavan Stabbing the Draman. Sanottakoon, että bändi teki yllättävän väkevän paluun vuonna 2015 The Ride Majesticilla.
Albumi sisältää hiukan raaempaa mättöä ja progempia sävellyksiä. Tuotanto toistuu ajalleen epätavallisesti aika diskanttivoittoisena. Teos on kansista lähtien priimaa, mutta varsinkin levyn loppupää alkaa potkia päähän, kun alkupuoli levystä on ollut vain tavallisia vartaloiskuja.
Levyn tuottaja Daniel Bergstrand on saanut bändin kuulostamaan ammattimaiselta, mutta silti omaperäiseltä. Se ei ole niin massanmakuinen, vaan mieluummin Kiss-Kiss karkki Fazerin parhaat-pussissa. (Vaikka itseasiassa Islanti on se paras nami.)

Levyllä on muutamia erittäin raakoja iskuja. Stalematen ja Blind Eye Halon kaltaisilla biiseillä levyn mitaksi olisi riittänyt vaikka se 29 minuuttia ja kolme sekuntia. Vaikka itse musiikki genrenä on niin kaukana tämän hetken valtavirtamusiikista mukaan lukien metallin valtavirta, tulee albumi vaivatta kuunneltua läpi. Joo, kyllähän The Crestfallenissa mennään aika Radio Rock-linjaa, mutta vain pirun paljon paremmin.
Soitto kulkee. Hyvää paahtoa, metallista maalailua mutta vahvasti eteenpäin mennen. Per Gessleä mukaillen: ”Ei 70-luvun jälkeen ole tullut yhtään ruotsalaista bändiä, jossa ei kuuluisi ABBA:n melodiaperintö.” Kyllä se kuuluu Soilworkissakin. Sävellykset nousevat liitoon poikkeuksetta niiden hienojen kertosäemelodioiden takia. Tästä hyvä esimerkki on Distancen kertosäkeen variaatiot kappaleen lopussa.
Tämä on sellainen tehokas pyöräytys. Kun pitää saada asiat käyntiin, niin silloin soi mainiosti. Esimerkiksi valmistautuessa johonkin urheilusuoritukseen.
