Debyyttisingle, jollaista harvalla bändillä on. Noel on todennut kirjoittaneensa tämän todella nopeasti. Tarina kertoo myös, että kun bändi oli saanut Supersonicin äänitettyä, he olivat lähteneet ajelemaan ympäri Manchesteria kuunnellen c-kasetilta miten hemmetin hyvän biisin olivat saaneet aikaan.
Se kuuntelukerta, kun tämäkin kolahti, on tiukasti muistissa: pyörällä Pokron lenkkiä ajellessa kesällä 2006. Jossain siellä juuri ennen Lamminkylän koulua keskellä peltoja tuli ensi kertaa ajatuksella kuunneltua kertosäkeeseen asti. Siihen asti olin sivuuttanut tämän biisin vain päihdehöyryisenä, tasapaksuna tallusteluna. Mutta kun kuulin kertsin ensimmäisen kerran, ei paluuta ollut.
Säkeistössä on uhoa, kertosäkeessä melodia. Oasis pähkinänkuoressa. Gem Archer on todennut, että Supersonicin juju on siinä, että se on juuri hieman liian hidas. Aivan kuin Liam tepastelisi ominaisella tyylillään... Kitaralinjoissa on tarttuvia melodioita niin introssa kuin välikkeissäkin ja livenä outro venyi hieman pidemmäksi Noelin riffitellessä.
Tämähän oli keikkasuosikki alusta loppuun saakka, vaikka olikin välillä poissa settilistoilta hetkittäin. Viimeisellä rundilla Supersonic nousi uuteen loistoon kuulostaen paremmalta kuin kertaakaan vuoden 2000 jälkeen. Harmi että bändille kävi kuin kävi...
Mistäkö tämä kertoo? Sen voi jokainen kuulija kehitellä itselleen. Onpa taas mahtava biisi.
